Very comprehensive article. I want to add few things. For WiFi security, WEP is not a good option because it can be easily cracked. In WPA, TKIP is again hacked to some extent and a newbie with right tools can cause problems. AES encryption is still tough enough to be used without any problem. In addition to above mentioned software, a good anti malware is also very necessary. Most PC users still dont consider them a big threat but be rest assured that they are... Some good anti malware are "Trojan Remover" and "Malwarebytes". Last but not the least, there is an excellent utility to keep your self safe from USB Viruses. "Panda USB Security" vaccinates your computer and creates a non-deletable / non-changeable AUTORUN.INF file.
